Brand Strategist. Creative Director. Filmmaker.
Des Grain is a creative director, filmmaker, and marketing strategist based in Charlotte, NC, and one of the rare people operating seriously at all three.

He started behind a camera young. That instinct for composition, emotion, and authentic human moments still drives everything he builds today, whether that's a narrative short film, a brand campaign, or a go-to-market strategy for a Fortune 500 company.

Over a decade leading marketing at organizations including Dell, Tableau, Aprio, and high-growth SaaS startups, Des has built the kind of experience most creative directors don't have: closing $8M in enterprise sales, generating $4M in influenced pipeline, and architecting content systems that actually move revenue. He doesn't just direct. He understands what the work has to accomplish.

In 2020, he founded Reformed Society, an independent creative production company rooted in authentic storytelling, centering Black culture, identity, and the human moments that don't make it into polished brand decks. The company's debut short film Spades is now on YouTube, and the next narrative film, The Top of the Key, is currently in pre-production.

His philosophy is straightforward: the best creative work isn't just beautiful. It's built with intention, grounded in truth, and designed to last.
