Brand Storytelling & Marketing
Every company has a story, most just don't know how to tell it. This page collects the marketing and culture content I've directed for companies i've helped grow. Testimonials, brand films, and internal storytelling built to do real business work, not just look good. Strategy and craft, in the same moment.
Syssero
When I joined Syssero, the marketing team had no content strategy in place. I built one from scratch, developing our first content campaigns, expanding our channels, and growing our audience into a major player among our competitors. Along the way, I also built an in-house agency for brand storytelling, replacing a marketing approach built on stock imagery with content built on real people and real culture.
Brand Storytelling
Most of our marketing content was static and stock, images that could have belonged to any company. I started by bringing in brand photography, replacing stock imagery with photos of our actual people and culture. From there, I built out our video footprint from the ground up. It started at the top of the funnel with brand awareness films, who we are and what we do, then expanded into service videos, employee testimonials, and client testimonials. Each layer was designed to build trust at a different stage, from someone hearing about us for the first time to someone deciding whether to work with us.
Marketing
Content strategy didn't exist at Syssero before this. I built our first campaigns from the ground up, then expanded our channels to grow reach and audience. YouTube grew from 100 to 1,300 subscribers, a 1,200% increase, and Instagram grew from 114 to 600 followers, a 427% increase. I also led our advertising strategy, which drove an 800% year-over-year increase in referral traffic and a 300% increase in form submissions. That combination, organic channel growth alongside paid strategy, positioned Syssero as a major player among competitors with bigger budgets and longer track records.
Rotation Digital
Rotation Digital acquired Syssero after being impressed by the brand and marketing work I'd built there. Since the acquisition, I've carried that same approach forward, leading brand storytelling for Rotation Digital and building out their visual identity the same way I did at Syssero, starting from the ground up and letting real people carry the story.
Brand Storytelling
I started Rotation Digital's brand storytelling with a who we are film, the first in a series designed to introduce the company's identity, culture, and purpose to a wider audience. It's an early step in a longer build, the same approach that grew Syssero's content footprint from nothing into a real competitive advantage, now applied to a larger organization post-acquisition.
